Andrew Woods (he/him)

Business Development Specialist, Graduate Employment,
Yorkville University

Hello, I’m Andrew Woods, Business Development Specialist, Graduate Employment, at Yorkville University. My role involves introducing our university to companies Canada-wide and building long- term, sustainable relationships with them, with the goal of having them approach us directly with roles and hiring our students. I started my career as a chef, and have lived and worked across Europe, Asia, and North America. This experience helped nurture my curiosity and a lifelong love of food, culture, and travel.

In addition to working at Yorkville, I teach entrepreneurship at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to this, I served as an adjunct professor in entrepreneurship and sales and negotiations for the Asian campus of EMLYON, a triple accredited (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS) business school in Shanghai, China. My formal education includes a Doctor of Management (DMgt) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

I have one daughter who lives in the UK, and I live in Vancouver, Canada, with my wife. Although I no longer work as a chef, I can regularly be found at Vancouver produce markets looking for unique ingredients to practice cooking with. I seem to have an endless supply of people willing to try my food and give me feedback!
